We source unique items ranging from hand-made artefacts, vases and household goods to spices from around the world with the main focus being from Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Mido Store London was born out of the desperate desire to find essential spices that remind us of home cooking. The old way of asking and begging friends and family to bring back some treasured spices and snacks from Africa was not working. So we set out to make it as easy as buying baked beans from the local supermarket.
As more and more consumers are becoming aware of eating healthy and sustainably, Eritrean & Ethiopian as well as other African products have become popular among non-Africans.
Sharing our rich culture with our shoppers is something we love to do. Everyone who enters our store never leaves empty-handed. Our friendly staff will share their knowledge and gladly introduce you to various food items and artefacts.
Our store location in the heart of busy Holloway Road in North London was the start. However, we simply didn't just want to serve the residents of North London. With access to the internet, we can become a local store for almost everyone.
We can now post worldwide. We aim to get our products with 1-2 working days within the UK.
